How to take measurements for a martingale collar?

A perfect fit is all that matters at martingale collar. It's remarkable how you measure your dog. Let's check how do you properly measure the dog's neck and head and what you shouldn't do.

I must tell you also that custom made products can't be returned or changed for other product. Your wishes made the products, and we don't take responsibility for the measurements that you give us. But if something will not be as perfect as you thought, please contact us and we'll check what we can do to be the best for your dog.

We need two dimensions from your dog:

A - size around the dog's head through dog's ears (here is the widest part of the head)

B - size around the dog's neck (where the collar will be)

Steps

  • The easiest way is if your dog sits.
  • Take the textile meter.
  • Put the meter around the dog's head. The meter should go over ears and not in front or behind of them. Be careful not to fasten the meter too much, but also not too loose. It should fit your dog right perfectly. Check the images below where is shown the right way and the wrong way.

  • Then put the meter also around the dog's neck. This is where you want the collar will be. Again, put the meter around the neck and not fasten it too much and don't put a finger under the meter for additional space. It should fit your dog right perfectly. Check the images below where is shown the right way and the wrong way.
